Description
An extraordinarily rare silver mohur from the Princely State of Rajkot — with only 54 coins originally minted, making this one of the most limited princely state issues in Indian numismatic history. Issued by HH Thakore Saheb Shri Dharmendrasinhji Lakhajirajsinhji, 13th Thakore Saheb of Rajkot (1910–1940) of the Jadeja dynasty. The obverse depicts the crest of the State while the reverse showcases a rising sun over the ocean, weighing approximately 5.78 grams. Rajkot holds a special place in Indian history as the hometown of Mahatma Gandhi, and this coin is a prized relic of that storied princely state. A true museum-grade collector’s treasure.
