Description
A stunning relic of Mughal imperial glory — this silver rupee was struck during the reign of Emperor Muhammad Shah (1719–1748 AD), the thirteenth Mughal Emperor, at the prestigious Surat Mint — one of the most prolific and historically significant mints of the Mughal era. The obverse bears the imperial legend “Sikka Mubarak Badshah Ghazi Muhammad Shah” in exquisite Persian calligraphy, while the reverse carries the mint name Surat with the regnal year. Struck on a large flan (big planchet), these coins are especially prized by collectors for their bold, full legends and fine strike. A rare and museum-worthy addition to any Mughal or Indian numismatic collection. Disclaimer — Any one coin will be sent from the available lot.
