Description
First introduced in 1917 and reintroduced by the Government of India in 2015 after a 20-year hiatus, the ₹1 note holds the unique distinction of being the only Indian currency note signed by the Finance Secretary rather than the RBI Governor. This 2016 issue features the One Rupee coin design with the Ashoka Pillar on the obverse, while the reverse showcases the iconic Sagar Samrat offshore oil rig along with a 15-language denomination panel. Signed by then Finance Secretary Ratan P. Watal, this crisp uncirculated bundle is a valuable addition for numismatists and collectors of modern Indian currency. Serial numbers may vary as per availability.
